Off Track

An off-track garage door happens when the rollers slip out of the metal track, causing the door to hang crooked, bind, or stop moving safely. This is more than an inconvenience—it can strain the opener, damage hinges and panels, and create a serious safety risk if the door shifts or falls. Off-track issues are often caused by a bumped track, loose hardware, worn rollers, or a broken/lifting cable problem. A proper repair typically involves securing the door, guiding the rollers back into place, realigning the track, and tightening or replacing any damaged parts so the door runs smooth and level again.
